The xl is a considerably shorter grip; the AXG Legion is x-macro sized. The frames are also different, and you can't use an xl holster for an x-macro or vice-versa. I've heard the Spectre Comp slide serrations aren't the best, but I have no personal experience. I understand the issues with lightening spring are making things a bit worse but the slide doesnt always go home after a mag change and slide drop. The 21 rd mags will work in either X5 or AXG. If your X5 is sporting a magwell you will likely need to switch out the base plates to be compatible with magwell.
