Welcome to Rees Funeral Homes and Cremation Service Website. We have three convenient locations: Hobart, Portage, and Lake Station. As a family owned and operated funeral home, we understand that the trust your family puts in our staff is sacred. We are honored to be given the opportunity to serve your family.Rees Funeral Home was established in 1960 by Jerry and Mary Jane Rees. In 1985 they purchased the Olson chapel in Portage. In 1990 James Krause, a longtime employee, and Patricia A. Rees, the Rees' daughter purchased the funeral homes. In 1993 they purchased the Brady funeral home in Lake Station. Patty and Jim have since fully retired.A funeral service will take place Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart.
